News December 2012Chinas first off Super-intensive High-density RAS Sea-cucumber aquaculture grow out technology
The world’s first sea-cucumber in-door farming unit for Sea-cucumber has proven to run safe and smoothly, promises high yield in return. The initial development with a row of follow up trials has been successful on a designated base for research and development, from 2010 to 2011 near Qidong, Jiangsu Province.
As a result, this newest developed style of multi-level farming technology for Sea-cucumbers has now become operative on a site of Yu Hai Qingdao’s high-tech Water Plant Breeding Co., Ltd. in Shandong Province.
It has been engineered, designed and installed by Germany’s RAS specialist in all aspects of aqua-culture; Mr. Werner Gaus, who now possesses the highest level of bio-technological knowledge- regarding continuous purification of re-circulating water technologies for the most modern in-door “Sea-cucumbering”.
Perfecting his design Mr. Werner Gaus has made it a special priority to merge his knowledge with only locally available materials that are made in China.
Thus with his passion and precision he challenged and taught the local Chinese markets to supplying him only with local materials machined to his given specifications. This makes this Farming operation so very special, - actually unique. It is the most advanced and outstanding from all other known so far.
For the sea cucumbers successful growth, environmental factors and biological characteristics of this process have become a perfectly controllable year around livelihood and are fully complying with the Sea-cucumbers physical and bio-technological requirements.
With the excellent growing results of the reference plant the growing specification can thus also be referred to as “Kg/ m²” available within a buildings area.
An annual bio-mass production of 80 Kg per m² with an average size of 100gr/ average would result in a total production of estimated 26 tons/ p.a., amounting to an estimated turnover of 4.275.000,00 RMB
Technical advantages
- Agricultural project; government support and the state grant subsidies for such projects.
- Development of large-scale projects; modular design, easy to manage and technical support, supporting value adding- processor’s enterprises and promote the local economy by creating tax income.
- Re-circulation Aquaculture System for professional water treatment and purification, in response to the government zero pollution and zero emission policy.
- Safe and reliable production process; the production is foreseeable and sustainable, guaranteed income.
- Scientific and rational design to achieve a Super-intensive high-density Sea-cucumber aquaculture growth; to reduce the size of the required land footprint.
- Unpolluted exchange water; meeting regional laws, requirements and restrictions.
- Low power consumption; reduce farming costs, reduce carbon emissions..
- The economic effect is significant; the considerable return of investment ROI.
- The dry controlled indoor climate prolongs equipment life and function.
- High-tech equipment and efficient pond management, significantly reducing labour costs to the benefit of the operator.
